He's put up lots of points in his matches, but he hasn't wrestled anyone yet. Vegas will tell the story as to whether or not he's legit.
I'm honestly more interested in watching Mangrum, and to see if Pena can rally off the couple of tough matches that he had at the tri-meet last week.
How has Jack looked this year? I have no paid attention
He beat Bugenhagen and Zylstra at the tri-meet, other than that can't say.
He looked sluggish in both wins ,IMO.LARA is impressive .
Lackluster 7-5 win by Mangrum over the Simon Frasier guy.
The Simon Frasier guy got a point out of nowhere (seriously as they were scrambling in the seat belt position from neutral) to tie the match up 5-5 with about 15 seconds left and then flopped to his back while trying to throw Mangrum to give up the winning TD.
Edit: Scorebook says it was a penalty point, but what for would be my question.
Pena very nearly picks up Oregon State's third first period fall of the afternoon but wound up getting his arm bar called PD as he was turning the guy.
Turned it on and went to the bathroom and Kubec was on the mat . Lara wasn't out there long enough to get a decent appraisal of him .
Coming off a 26-11 tech fall by Keegan Davis, Ryan Smith is 0-0 with his guy going into the third period.
