He didn't do anything in period 2 or 3 but he spent the first period wrestling like his ass was on fire.

I'll take a 13-3 major over a guy like Trevor Hall, don't really care how you do it.

    3,019 at Williams tonight.

Yohn putting a clinic in on top with his legs...leads 10-0 after the first period.

He's hit a move twice where he hooks up under the near arm (near to the side that he has his leg in) reaches all the way across to where he's hooking the other arm and then rolls through to that near side to take his opponent to his back.

    Pretty sweet looking move.

His older brother with a considerably more impressive 2nd period techfall. Just pwned the guy with power halfs and arm scoops
    Gold is an idiot.

I think you mean 3,018 and LoSt.

Yohn counters a shot by the Cal-Bakersfield guy for a TD, then locks up a near side cradle to take him to his back. Tries for the fall but the guy wound up rolling out of it.

15-0 tech fall closes out a 31-9 dual meet with for the Gophers.

Nice opener for the Gophers. Would like to think that we would have had the 165 match had Dustin been there but otherwise think the Yohn Guns looked good. I have to think that either Nord KILLS Eidenshenk in practice or else J. Rob is keeping Nord in there to make sure he makes weight every week.

    Few thoughts...

125: Great chain wrestling as usual on the feet from Sanders. Several of the TD's that he got were absolutely nasty. He was the first of several guys that did a really nice job looking for pinning combinations as soon as he picked up takedowns

133: Nice to see Ness work the straight over the head half again. He'd get pins with the half last year but most of them seemed to be of the regular garden variety.

141: Nice job by Thorn dealing with the very funky Nacita. Did a great job breaking the match open with the backpoints that he got from that cradle.

149: Glad to see Mellmer come out and get a big win.

157: Same for Grygelko although as I mentioned he nearly lost it when he got headlocked near the end of the 3rd.

165: Tough situation for Peterson to be put in but to his credit he didn't give bonus and he didn't just stall out after he got his late escape to try and not give the bonus.

174: Lost called the major "unimpressive" and I guess I can kind of see where he's coming from as all Yohn got after the first period was an escape but after blitzing Hall (a solid wrestler in his own right although maybe not at 174 yet) for 11 points in the first he didn't really need to.

184: More domination by Sonny. I guess that move that I described him using is called an arm scoop.

197: Tough loss by Nord. Hopefully as he continues to make this weight the results will improve.

285: Great scrambling here in this match by both guys. Berhow has usual was very active, just has to keep working on cleaning up his finishes. Same story as its always been.

He was using a reverse cross face too, but that wasn't the move that I was describing.
