    Mike Thorn v. Jamal Parks

1st Period: Parks immediately up and hopping around from the outside...Thorn working out of a 3 point stance to start out. Parks reaches for a leg but he didn't clear out of the collar tie so didn't really get anything. Another little half shot by Parks, and then Thorn responds with a Manny Rivera style head snap. Little half shot by Thorn but again didn't clear his ties. 1:00 to go...Shot attempt by Thorn, Parks looks to drag around but Thorn works back up. Thorn in on a high crotch and Parks looks to work around again, he had the angle for a second but Thorn did a nice job squaring up and then runs Parks out of bounds. Period ends scoreless.

2nd Period: Parks starts down...Parks tripods up slips his hips out and spins away for the quick escape...1-0 Parks. Both guys getting aggressive with the head slaps on the end, Thorn especially came with a hard right head slap. Thorn reaches for another high crotch, but Parks does a nice job blocking him off and bangs him hard with a reshot double for the TD, and then rides out to lead 3-0.

3rd Period: Thorn starts down. Stands and works his way around quickly for the escape...3-1 Parks. Thorn in underneath Parks after another shot, but they get stalemated. Thorn reaches for another leg, they get a little chippy with the ties again on the edge and Pat Fitzgerald penalizes Thorn a point for a head butt...4-1 Parks. Thorn again with a high crotch from the outside. Thorn again reaches for a leg but he isn't clearing his upper body ties before he takes the shot. Another high crotch attempt by Thorn but Parks blocks him off again...and the match ends.

Jamal Parks dec Mike Thorn 4-1

Still sounded like a pretty dominant 3-0 if that is possible.

Pat Fitzgerald takes a team point from OK State at the end of the 141 match, as Thorn had shot in on the legs and Parks shoved him to the mat after the buzzer sounded.

Edit: And they actually they take a point from both teams...so its 5-2 Minnesota

    Mario Mason v. Quentin Fuentes

1st Period: Excited to see Mario for the first time...Mario in on a low single and picks up the TD, Fuentes stands up and works away for the escape...2-1 Mason. Mario working with and underhook, Fuentes clamps down on the same overhook as they work to the edge and Mason nearly hits a knee block as they go out. Nice double leg TD by Mason, just cleared the hands up high and worked right in for the TD...4-1 Mason. Fuentes stands, clears the hands and works away for the escape. 4-2 Mason. Shot attempt by Mason but Fuentes catches him out in front this time and they go out. Mason in on a high crotch, elevates but Fuentes does a nice job landing back on his feet, whizzering and working out of bounds. Period ends 4-2 Mason.

2nd Period: Fuentes starts down...grambies immediately off the whistle and picks up a reversal, and then cuts immediately...5-4 Mason. Fuentes works for an ankle off an underhook now but Mason squares up and away. Mason ducks in on a single leg, collects both ankles for the TD as they go out...7-4 Mason. Fuentes grambies again but this time Mason follows...Fuentes works his hips away for the escape and then shoves Mario out bounds...7-5 Mason. Fuentes kicks at a footsweep and Mario responds by working in after a single as they go out. Mason with a high crotch, then comes out the back door between the legs for the TD...9-5 Mason. Fuentes stands up and Mason not very urgent in trying to keep him down, Mason tries to duck in on a shot and then hits a knee block but they land basically parallel tangled up with one another but no points were given. Period ends 9-6 Mason.

3rd Period: Mason starts down...Fuentes cuts immediately...10-6 Mason. Mason with a little single leg attempt comes up and Fuentes pushes him out with 1:25 to go. Mason warned for stalling. Comes back on a nice head inside single, they're on the edge and Mario not very urgent with it. Another head inside single, comes up with it...they scramble down to the mat and Fuentes nearly switches around but Mason keeps moving and reswitches behind for the TD...12-6 Mason, and cuts off the restart for 12-7...Mason in on a low head outside single, Fuentes has him locked in the crotch with Mason trying to kick over the top, Fuentes scrambles into the counter TD at the buzzer.

Mario Mason dec Quentin Fuentes 13-9

    8-2 Minnesota
