    Default Body Bar Invitational Results/Discussion

Should be a fun tournament to watch tomorrow.

I'll be out for a while early in the morning, but hopefully someone will be able to start getting the results up in here as the tournament gets going.

Interesting that they didn't even seed Simaz at 197. A bit curious.

Perhaps a re-match in the finals, and shot at redemption, for Letts at 174?

    No Dake at 141.

Keep an eye on Desmond Green (149) from Buffalo. Kid has skills.

Damn, Jensesns hit the jackpot here today with his boys going. He has Martinez, Kilgore and LeBlanc. I would pay good money to watch Kilgore/LeBlanc. That's a dog fight. I like LeBlanc.

A whole bunch of guys missing.

Dake was hurt at Binghamton last weekend in the finals and didn't practice at all this past week prior to the UMD match last night.

No Manson for Cornell. Cam being unseeded is a bit of a message maybe - Koll wasn't too pleased with his performance.
No Arnone (or Stryker Lane, the CU frosh that would have been fun to watch)
No Josh Patterson at 184 either. And then Krom and Bell going to the All-Star.
    Still some good wrestling though.

Keep in mind that Hudson Taylor may very well finish his career as the best wrestler in University of Maryland history. If he can win the NCAAs this year, to go along with his two 3rds, there will be no argument. We've never had a three time all american at Maryland. Ironically he lost by 1 point in the round of 12 as a freshman to Cornell's Jerry Rinaldi.

Hudson will surpass the Terp career win record and most certainly the record for "PINFALLS"

He's been a great face for our program as we've risen from the ashes.

The bracket was fixed. Cam is now the #2 seed.

Wrestling Terp - I was in no way slighting Hudson Taylor. Taylor is a great wrestler who simply is better than Cam right now. But I know there was disappointment when the only thing Cam had to do was not get pinned. And then he got pinned.

I was taking it as a slight. More defending Cam because he isn't alone in his result with Hudson. There will be a lot of wrestlers that will be happy to see Hudson graduate....
