When did A Alton wrestle Lynch and what was the score?
When did A Alton wrestle Lynch and what was the score?
In wrestle offs in the room, apparently Dylan pinned Lynch but Lynch beat Dylan @ the Inter-squad. For what I hear Andrew then pinned Lynch 2xs. Cael was not going to have the brothers wrestle each other. @ this point it looks like my original assessment of Dylan RSing will come to pass however that looks to be a future logjam as Dylan has even said he may go up to 157 where David Taylor currently wrestles.
It was discussed openly by Cael & Andrew that Dyaln might have a hard time cutting to 141 so that Andrew would RS this year but as we saw @ the Inter-squad, Dylan gassed & will therefore probably RS & try to cut to 141 next year OR wrestle behind Molinaro @ 49 all next year. That means that the line up might be Andrew @ 41 for the next 4 years, (with a RS in there somewhere) & Dylan not getting into the starting line up until 2012-2013 @ 49.
It might not even be decided upon yet so all of this is just basically conjecture.
Molinaro is still recovering from an ankle injury, and has not yet been cleared to wrestle at Bloomy Friday night. CS said that he has been practicing & that he will likely travel with the team. If he is cleared, he could be in the starting lineup against the Huskies.
AA has looked to have won the starting role at 141 pounds after pinning Lynch in Saturday's final set of wrestle-offs. Alton was leading Lynch by a score of 11-2 before pinning him to win the match. CS also said that DA will "definitely" redshirt this year. He said he thought that 141 pounds is just too light for Dylan. This is something that both he & AA had voiced earlier as a concern.
CS also said Pearsall and Ortega will start at 133 and 197 pounds respectively. He also said that nothing was set in stone. It is still unknown what type of injury Steadman has, but he is wearing a bulky brace on his left knee. Steadman spent a lot of his time last year while battling injury. He has yet to step onto the mat competively so far this season.
Kemerer will be @ 165. However no word on whether Cowburn is going to RS yet or not. My assumption is that DC will RS.
CS is still uncertain about the status of Pataky's knee, but said if it were the Big Ten championships this weekend, then Pataky would wrestle. That shows you that he still regards over BP over True Frosh Frank Martelotti, who will be wrestling in BP's stead thjis weekend. Speaking of FM, it seems he has been taking advantage of the NLWC practices as it seems he was seen practicing with former Michigan State national champion Franklin Gomez for 30-minutes straight one time.
