I don't agree with Herkey#1 that Metcalf got a bum rap on the shove. It wasn't wrestling and it put Caldwell in danger. Still, I agree with Oldfart (above quote) and am happy to leave it at that.
Re: Metcalf focused on reclaiming title
Caldwell put himself in danger by puting himself upside down while in mid air with time left on the clock. Metcalf didnt put him in that position. He was just helping him get down safely.

Yeah, there was some of Metcalf's blood on the mat after that beating, and he didn't want Caldwell to land on it and possibly slip.;)

Back to the topic--since I think anything that can be said about "the shove" already has been said, and said, and re-said, and then said again--I'm actually really excited to see him wrestle this year, I think that he'll either be an absolute machine and completely tear through people or we'll see a little bit of letdown from him this year. Personally I think that he'll go on a tear and be almost untouchable.

Agreed. I think there are going to be a lot of torn up 149 pounders by the end of the season. I believe Metcalf has his best year yet, caps it with another Hodge.

Looks like you have covered all your bases...wouldn't consider that going out on too thin of a branch though.
Re: Metcalf focused on reclaiming title
No, I didn't think it was. I personally think he's going to go out and be pretty much untouchable this year, I do love to see how guys respond though after a tough loss, especially when they have an entire off season to stew about it.
