He's a legend in his own time in South Africa; I know he placed high in the jr. worlds, wrestled in the Olympics and AA'd at NCAA's. I'm looking for additional information on him.

Originally from Pretoria, South Africa. Represented RSA in the 2007 and 2009 World Championships and the 2008 Olympics.

Came to the states and wrestled Junior College at North Idaho College, winning the NJCAA championship his second year wrestling "American Folkstyle." Got sick prior to the Pac-10 championships as a junior and didn't qualify for the NCAA Championships after beating a slew of qualifiers during the year.

Training in Corvallis with the Orange Crush WC. Says he gets great freestyle training over here that prepares him for international competitions in the African Championships, etc.

Native language is Afrikaans ... a Dutch-English melded language that's one of the numerous official languages in South Africa. I spent a week in South Africa this summer, but in Cape Town, not in Pretoria.

    Great guy.

He's still on campus helping with the Beavs and training as mentioned above. Had a pretty good tournament in Canada over the weekend. Go Hein!

He was definitely fun to watch in the few chances I had to see him in folkstyle. Needless to say, quite slick on his feet. Him and Chamberlain from Boise had some great bouts last year...
