I liked the old East, Midwest, West coast rotations. Gave everyone a chance to attend at an occasionally lower cost. And it highlights the sport. Stick us in St. Louis and we're further marginalized as a "midwest sport."

I think Washington, DC would be a great site. I believe Maryland is going to bid to host it at the Verizon Center in DC.

Agreed on Albany. My first NCAA experience was not a favorable one. Kansas City wasn't much better, but St. Louis and Oklahoma City were first class. Wasn't a fan of Auburn Hills.

Regarding the tournaments, that means ruffling the old guard ... yes, your tournament is going to have to find a new weekend. Guess what that means to tournament directors, they're going to have to work a little bit more than settling into patterns and systems.

Yes, that means events like the Virginia Duals, National Duals, Cliff Keen, Midlands, Scuffle, etc., may have to find new weekends. There will be resistance from said field, because they don't like change. It makes them do more work, when in actuality, they only have to do it once.

I think the dual and tournament season type of things is more like tennis, where there are individual tournaments in one season, dual matches in the other, although the separation won't be as wide as tennis.

If we get away from March Madness, that opens up a lot more opportunities for television and national media attention.

Greensboro would also be a good site, in the state with the second most college wrestling programs in the country!

Only downsides I can think of is probably airport service and not as much of a downtown city gathering area. But there are a lot of hotels in the Gboro area, weather isn't as much of a factor, the Southen Scuffle has served as a mini-NCAAs now for several years so there is an experience factor too.

And it's really close to Elon!!!!

Couple great places in Greensboro. I'm trying to think of that place next to the hotel that's next to that mall ... If you've been there, you know what I'm talking about.

Have you been to the new Kansas City facility downtown? The old Kemper Arena was off in the sticks, but the Sprint Center is right downtown, close to hotels, restaurants, etc. I went there for a convention and liked it a lot.

Sort of the same thing with the Verizon Center in DC. The area around it was revitalized when it opened. A ton of restaurants, hotels, the National Mall a couple of blocks away with the Smitsonian, etc..
