Steve Bell and Alex Krom have been invited to compete in the All Star meet. First time Maryland will have two participants, after Hudson Taylor being the first Terp in 40 years last year.

"Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!?
It'll be interesting to see who they wind up going against.
For Bell to get there two guys out of the Gomez/Ness/Hochstrasser triumvirate would have had to turn it down. My guess is his initial opponent would be Ness given that he's accepted invitations both of the last two years.
With Jaggers, Williams, and Tanelli all graduating, Krom's initial opponent would be Gallick I guess.
Maryland wrestles at Cornell on Friday, November 20. My guess is these two will skip the Body Bar and fly out for Mondays All Star meet

Rumor has it Robles has accepted as well.
RIP Jacob Schlottke 1984-2011
I dont know if this has been discussed but how cool would it be if Dom Bradley v. Mark Ellis happened? A coach would probably never agree, but still.
Go Hawkeyes.
I am looking forward to seeing Ness put a beating of epic proportions on Steve Bell, who will not repeat as an AA this year.
Gold is an idiot.
Don't be a homer, Ness has pinned wrestlers the caliber of Bell many times. I expect a dominating win at the very least, and quite possibly bonus points.
However...
<menu> 125: #2 Anthony Robles (Arizona State) vs #4 Zach Sanders (Minnesota)
133: #4 Steve Bell (Maryland) vs #5 Daniel Dennis (Iowa)
141: #2 Nick Gallick (Iowa State) vs #3 Alex Krom (Maryland)
149:
157: #1 Jordan Burroughs (Nebraska) vs #2 Matt Moley (Bloomsburg)
165:
174:
184: #4 Max Askren (Missouri) vs #5 Josh Patterson (Binghamton)
197: #1 Jake Varner (Iowa State) vs #2 Craig Brester (Nebraska)
285: #1 Mark Ellis (Missouri) vs #5 David Zabriskie (Iowa State)
</menu>
That is a list from the NWCA website, so it seems Ness must have declined for some reason (maybe the fact that he is 0-2)
Also interesting is that both Pucillo and Keddy have declined at 184, and Robles is slotted in at 125 despite it not even being a sure thing that he will be starting at 125 this year (then again, we saw the same thing with Slaton last year)
Personally I will take Sanders over Robles
Dennis over Bell
Gallick over Krom
Burroughs over Moley
Patterson over Askren
Varner over Brester
Zabriskie over Ellis
Gold is an idiot.
If this does happen, can it be assumed that I have the winner at heavyweight.
