What if Ellis gets hurt the day of the match and its too late to find a replacement, so Bradley steps in and beats Z?

^^^I remember when UMD's second NCAA champ, Gobel Kline, wrestled in the 1969 All-Star meet. As I recall, back in them thar days the event was held after the NCAA Tournament and pitted the best seniors from colleges in the east (like east of the Mississippi River) against the best seniors from the west. Gobel, who was a very interesting personality, won his match. I think he wrestled a kid from Iowa, that he had beaten at the 1969 NCAA's. (Ain't looking it up.) I believe they gave about a 5-pound allowance back then on the All-Star weigh-ins. I liked that east/west best seniors structure. -Stove Pipe

Of those match ups there other than the third go round of Sanders/Robles, I'll be most interested to see how many points Burroughs is able to put up on Moley.

I almost went with a major but I think Moley keeps it to 4 or 5

<menu> 125: #2 Anthony Robles (Arizona State) vs #4 Zach Sanders (Minnesota)
133: #4 Steve Bell (Maryland) vs #5 Daniel Dennis (Iowa)
141: #2 Nick Gallick (Iowa State) vs #3 Alex Krom (Maryland)
    149:
157: #1 Jordan Burroughs (Nebraska) vs #2 Matt Moley (Bloomsburg)
    165:
    174:
184: #4 Max Askren (Missouri) vs #5 Josh Patterson (Binghamton)
197: #1 Jake Varner (Iowa State) vs #2 Craig Brester (Nebraska)
285: #1 Mark Ellis (Missouri) vs #5 David Zabriskie (Iowa State)
    </menu>
That is a list from the NWCA website, so it seems Ness must have declined for some reason (maybe the fact that he is 0-2 )

Also interesting is that both Pucillo and Keddy have declined at 184, and Robles is slotted in at 125 despite it not even being a sure thing that he will be starting at 125 this year (then again, we saw the same thing with Slaton last year)

Personally I will take Sanders over Robles
    Dennis over Bell
    Gallick over Krom
    Burroughs over Moley
    Patterson over Askren
    Varner over Brester
    Zabriskie over Ellis
I wasn't being a homer, I was refuting your asinine prediction that Bell won't repeat as an all american. But then again your Ness worship smacks of homerism.

I like Bell a lot, and I predicted him to be an AA again but its not like he didn't get blown out at times last year. He did lose his final match of the year 17-0.

Not saying that Ness definitely would or wouldn't do that too, but it is conceivable that he could get bonus points.

LOL!!! My "asinine prediction"... thats a good one. And IM the homer

People seem to fall into this trap of "a guy has aaed, therefore he will aa every year no matter what" and its dumb.

Look at Bells record, he has one close win over Dennis and a 3-2 win over Mitcheff in the R12. Thats ALL. Look at last years 133 bracket, if you swap him with any of the other 11 guys who were in the r12 I'm about 90% sure he doesn't AA.

He got freaking techfalled in his placement match for crying out loud... Almost majored by Hochstrasser, lost to ever other AA caliber guy he faced during the year...

I love it, a guy who gets TECHFALLED at ncaas in the 5th place match and I'm somehow ridiculous for saying that Jayson Ness, the most prolific bonus scorer at 133 by far, would probably put up bonus on him.

Anyway we wont get to see that match, so I'll settle for Hoch putting a mormon style beating on Steve "Overrated" Bell
