Default #20 Nick Dardanes & Chris Dardanes to Minnesota

http://intermatwrestle.com/recruiting/commitments

This was a surprise to me. I had no idea that Minnesota was even on their collective radar, but this is an awesome get none the less.

Nick Dardanes projects as a 141 pounder and is ranked #20 overall. He was 2nd at Junior 130 this past summer at Fargo beating Sherlock and Klingsheim in the process.

Chris projects at 133. He isn't ranked in the top 100 but he's still tough as evidenced by his 4th place finish in that same 130 bracket at Fargo this year, his biggest win there being over Justin LaValle.

This does surprise me too ... then again, with the commits of Baldosaro and Dziewa along with the depth in the Iowa room, they might have seen the writing on the wall.

These two wrestle the Iowa style, just bruising, get-after-it types ... I figured that program would be a sure fit for both of them.

Great gets for Minnesota... What a huge 36 hours for recruiting: Baldosaro, Dziewa, Telford, both Dardanes, and Hunter Stieber all commit.

I was just looking at the recruiting rankings on Intermat and it looks like Minny could have a big year next year, too. McCauley, Waste, Kelliher...

I would assume that Kelliher at the very least probably follows his brother to Wisconsin. Don't know about the other two.

I think Mccauley has always been more of an Iowa guy, but if we could nab him that would be great.

Minnesota does not exactly have a great track record of getting AV's best.

Really? Hadn't heard that. Assumes he was a Minny guy. What is his likely weight in college?

Unknown at this point. I believe he is only a junior this year and he has consistently grown every year thus far (from 103 to 145). I wouldn't be surprised to see him as high as 165 or 174 in college. But if he slows down his growth he might be a 157er or even a 149er
