Absolutely! And I'll throw in one that nobody is looking for. Maryland could very well end up as a top 10 team this year. All American caliber guys at 125, 133, 141, 149, 157, 174, and 197. I'm certainly not saying we'll have 7 AAs, but 4 or 5 may not be unrealistic.

125 Byrne - had wins over some pretty good guys
133 Bell - won three in a row at NCAAs and knocked two returning AAs out of the tournament.
141 Krom - coming off of redshirt
149 Medina - terrifically talented. We'll see if he steps it up from his freshman year.
157 Letters is ranked early but will likely redshirt from what I gather. Look for Bradley here.
165 McGill has been a journeyman wrestler and I think he may break out this year, if he breaks the lineup! Not saying he'll AA
174 Letts is much better than people realize.
184 A big question mark in our lineup.
197 Taylor may well win it all this year. Maryland hasn't had an NCAA champ since 1969 so 2009 would be nice symetry.
Hwt. Gilmore may surprise some people now that he's had a chance to grow into the weight.

    Can you imagine....

Caldwell and Schlatterbug uping to 157, then adding in Scott Winston and Welch to the mix.

    Brutal Q final.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

Assuming Winston and Welch get there and that Caldwell and Schlatter move up....and that no one gets hurt....and...and...and...

Just a note: look for Jenkins in the PSU line-up this season.

Hernandez at 141 and Coughlin down to 157 should AA this year -Coughlin's freshman year he beat jordan Leans and at 157 he won't give up too much strength . He was too small for 165 -at 197 IU's-[ Everhart]- kid won 23 matches 2 years ago as a freshman then got hurt -if healthy he could sneak in there -he beat Barlow at hwt last year .

    1. Missouri, 108
    2. Iowa State, 97
    3. Iowa, 96.5
    4. Cornell, 75
    5. Nebraska, 70.5
    6. Ohio State, 49
    7. Oklahoma State, 48.5
    8. Illinois, 41
    9. Michigan, 39
    10. Edinboro, 37
I edited my picks. I think you'll find Iowa now has 110, which is probably more accurate. I had forgotten Erekson at Hwt, I think he'll be a force. Coach Pritts told me it would take 115 pts to win it and that seems about right to me.

I love Marable, even had him on my fantasy wrestling team but I actually think he is going to have to get his offense going this year to keep himself high on the podium. He had ALOT of close matches this year and is the kind of wrestler (see C.P. Schlatter) that could come back to the field if he doesn't pick it up.

That being said, Missouri is going to be right there next year at NCAA's until the final day. Should be a really good race between Iowa State, Missouri and Iowa. In fact, I think its going to come down to how many individuals that each team puts through to the NCAA's. If Iowa State or Missouri only put eight or less through, they are done.
