Not sure. I have yet to see Beatty at 200 and ripped. I know the kid likes the gym though.
RIP Jacob Schlottke; KR1963 and rpayton

I have been patiently reading this thread for about 20 minutes and I actually have to defend Wiltz in that 1)it IS reasonable to think that college age kids can put on weight quite quickly if there specific focus IS to put on weight. High weight, low reps. Not alot of calorie burning activities. The fact that these kids are growing. I wrestled in college for a year and it was the first year that I chose to move up and wrestle at my natural weight rather than cut weight. Psycologically I began to eat more and also had more stamina in the weight room. I put on 8 lbs and at that point only weighed 140 in my walking around weight. Its easy to see guys that are 180 and 225 lbs put on 15-20 lbs without a problem.

As far as Wiltz being defensive, its hard to agree with you because you are the one that won't let the conversation stop. As far as steroids are concerned, I think its a different thread. Remember you are going back and forth about steroids in the Preseason All American thread.

I will not make false accusations but Fagiano was kicked of the IU squad for failing a drug test -could have ben pot -speed or steroids -I don't know -al I know is that a freshman came in and beat out the varsity 197 lber -Everhart-and won a bunch of matches he wasn't supposed to win at a very tough weight class -Terrance told me they were rampant at purdue when he was there .
On a side note Marion Jones was on oprah after her early release for steroid use , lying to a grand jury and running a check kiting scheme . how she managed an early release is a mystery since the US Track and Field interceded against her .
The 'clear' is undetectable and designer roidsare a multi billion dolar business .
that stupid movie with josh brolin juicing and dying at the end actually increased roid use -it is in every sport -loook at Andre Agassi -gained 20-30 pounds and his hair fell out yet no one accused him -these kids will eat a buffalo 's testes is they think it will make them 5% stronger .

You know DAMN well that Brands and Gable would not have there legacy's go down with any kind of tie to steroids. In my opinion, they would rather lose or stay mediocre then have that program fall in to disgrace by telling their athletes to go on 'roids. That being said, what a kid is doing outside of the program to try to get an edge or because of the pressures that go along with trying to keep up with other superior athletes is another case entirely. All I know is that whatever Brent Metcalf takes to get ready for a match, give me two of those please.

I have down a 180 on Iowa after watching the program come back to prominence. Its good for the sport even though I am a huge Gofer Homer. I like a strong Iowa team as long as they run a clean program and if Iowa weren't on top and Okie State isn't up there at this point, who is going to wear the black hats? Might as well be Iowa. This is going to be a fun year again.

Not for the Gophs it won't be. But it will be next season. Especially if Schlatter redshirted and stuck around. Also, in 2 years, I think you guys will win the title.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

One, two, Evans is coming for you...

Yeah, well I thought we would win the title last year too and look what happened? We had injuries up and down the line-up and then guys not performing to seeds. I think the only guys to really exceed or uphold expectations were Ness, Reiter and Rivera in my opinion.

Hell no Gable wouldn't put up with that crap-he'd probably beat the hell out of anyone even thinking of trying the stuff -I am merely talking about a few individuals who obvosly juiced but thought they cold get away with it -I still remember Marion jones crying and swearing on her kids life she didn't do steroids -just a few hypocrites can ruin it for everyone .

Ok lets be honest; how many people do you think would use performance enhancing substances and then NOT lie about it?

If you're dishonest enough to cheat at a competition you are probably dishonest enough to lie about it, just my two cents anyway.
    Gold is an idiot.

Your two cents are worth about a penny. What kind of point were you trying to make my drunken breathren? Marion Jones was the poster child for lying, on that I would agree. Should have taken some of that Visa Gold money and fixed them chicklets when she had the chance.
