Brenden is our Terrapin Wrestling Club coach now. Another year of sucking down to 125 would have been a lot for him. And he wasn't getting a lot of aid so I suspect it was hard to justify the cost. He's been at if for some time with a post-grad year at Blair, then four years at Maryland. He had a nice career.

We have some good 125 pounders in the room with Ruland, Strizki, and Sharbaugh. Whoever emerges from that group will be pretty solid for us.

^^^UMD coaches reportedly see James Knox also as a possible starter at 125 sometime this season. Mr. Knox, now a senior in eligibility, placed third in the 2006 ACC Tournament competing as a true frosh for UMD at 125, then placed second in the 2007 ACC event, again at 125 pounds. Knox redshirted the 2008 season, and went about 9-6 for 2009, up at 133. We shall see.

Apparently the people at the OPENMAT.com got some input from all ACC coaches in doing lineup projections and they listed STrizki and Knox at 125. I think that I had heard that Ruland MIGHT be too big for 125 so maybe that is what's going on with him. It is interesting to note that they have Peltier bumping up to 184. He could definitely be a sleeper to watch this year. Of course, this is all speculation until wrestle offs I suppose.

^^^I talked to UMD coaching staff about the OpenMat listing and was told that Lou Ruland's omission at 125 was inadvertent. I am hearing from those close to Ruland that they expect him to go 125. I guess I will see who's in the UMD wrestle-off finals Oct 24.

Last season Peltier looked like a good-sized 165 pounder. I assume he's trying to bulk over 174 in order to crack the Terp lineup.
