Mark Munoz joins the Cal State Fullerton coaching staff
A two-time All-American and 2001 NCAA Champion at Oklahoma State, Mark has moved to Southern California. After five seasons at UC Davis, Mark will join the Cal State Fullerton staff as an assistant coach and Titan Wrestling Club Co-Head Coach.
This is Mark's third college coaching position. Before joining the UC Davis staff Mark served for two seasons at his Alma mater Oklahoma State. In 2003, he helped guide the Cowboys to their 31st NCAA Championship.
As a collegian, Munoz captured two Big 12 Titles and earned back-to-back All-American honors at 197 pounds, including his NCAA title as a senior in 2001. He also made the NWCA All-Academic squad for four seasons.
Mark is the type of person I have hoped we could attract to our staff. He is a man of integrity and really cares about his athletes. He is also a very talented coach and recruiter. I have known Mark for several years and look forward to having him on board as we continue building the Titan Wrestling Program. After a season where we won the Pac-10 dual title and scored the most points of any Fullerton team at Pac-10's, we are ready to continue towards our ultimate goal of be a top 10 team nationally. Mark knows what that is like having been at Oklahoma State. He will bring a presence, a confidence, a champion to our room to help us build All-Americans.

"Catch the Wave" of excitement for college wrestling. Plan to join us on March 1 & 2 (Sunday and Monday) for some great college wrestling action.
