Best of luck mhs - you think getting used to weighing in at 215 in high school and having to drop to 197 in college will be a challenge?

    I'm looking at wrestling.
Dresser is a great coach but I believe Martin is the best in VA for sure.

I don't really think it'll be much of a challenge. I'll just start cutting weight as soon as season
ends, and I can usually cut around 10 pounds the first month which would put me less
than 10 pounds away from 197 in march.

Okay then. You had me confused, which is easier to do in my advanced age.... You were mentioning Div 1A and 1AA, then threw in South Carolina, which doesn't have wrestling. Though USC will give you in-state tuition if you get any sort of academic aid!!!

Word of advice. Find the SCHOOL that is the best fit for you as far as your hoped for needs academically, size, location, etc. Then make sure you get along with the guys on the team. Finally consider the coach. You could land somewhere and the coach is gone your freshman year. Make sure it is a school you would otherwise be happy to attend.

Yeah, that's why I'm really leaning towards uva and cornell rather than maryland,
tech or odu. They both have great med programs, and you can't make a living
off of wrestling itself, haha. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

The preseason rankings came out, did anyone see them?
