Got this from the MMA UG forums. Hoping to see if anyone here has contacts at any of the colleges there to see if it's true or not.

I just got this email. I have no idea if it is a hoax or not. I am hoping that someone can help.
A major college wrestling program is fighting for its life and needs your immediate support.
Former U.S. Olympic wrestling coach Ron Finley, who was head coach at the University of Oregon for 28 years before retiring in 1998, heads a courageous effort to save his former team -- scheduled for elimination after last season. Like most wrestlers, the Ducks just won't give up.
After a year of struggle with the administration, Oregon's wrestlers filed suit in June. The case goes to trial on Sept. 8. It's quite possible that the judge will find that Oregon violated state law when it eliminated wrestling, as university administrators have already admitted that Title IX gender equities did not mandate cutting wrestling. The Oregon wrestling team isn't asking the court for damages; it instead seeks only its reinstatement.
Here's how you can help. If the wrestling team wins its anti-discrimination case, Oregon's administrators may claim there is no budget to continue wrestling, as the university has committed itself to two new sports. But if the wrestling team can show the judge that there is a financial support base, the judge may discount that argument and order Oregon to revive its wrestling program.
Throughout the last school year, the Save Oregon Wrestling program raised $2.8 million, mostly in pledges contingent upon Oregon doing as Arizona State decided last spring--giving wrestling a second chance. But $6 million is needed to fully endow the program for perpetuity.
We ask for no cash to be donated at this time. Instead, pledge that you will support the Oregon wrestling program at a rate of at least $15 per month, or whatever you can do to help, should the judge order the program reinstated. If you are a student, please forward this email to your parents and ask them to support Oregon wrestling on your behalf. If we win, your gift will be tax deductible. If we lose, you will owe nothing.
