initial judgement is that this is terrible but there might be a lot more to this then we know. Its his mothers boyfriend not some random guy. MAybe he was abusing the kids mother? maybe he was threatening the kid? who knows in a case like this.

Im not saying I nessacarily agree with their actions even if that was the case but we probably dont know all the facts here.
