I agree. I spoke with him a few years ago and he seems like a great guy.

Felonies don't fly well the university code of conduct no matter where you go. If it goes to trial and sticks, he's toast for any school. I'd look for this thing to get pled down to a misdemeanor if the prosecutor doesn't drop it.

While this kid doesn't count against it, no one that I have seen has mentioned how cutting Donahoe and Jordan may hurt Nebraska's APR in another year or two. Add to that that Rowe apparently left Lincoln and may enroll at Maryland. If they all received aid, three guys leaving is going to really hurt the number.

It doesn't take much, as we painfully learned at Maryland, to have the APR drop due to just a couple of guys.

Sort of shows what rubbish the NCAA's APR is.....

wow rowe left too? nebraska is just falling apart at the seams... Three starters gone, did oliver graduate? (not that he looked too impressive last year) So now they have what, burroughs brester and dwyer? and jones

so still a solid team but no longer a contender or dual meet powerhouse

if by burns you mean darren burns Im not sure but I was under the impression he was a 197 pounder? I would consider that an upper weight :P

Most of Nebraska's problems are at the bottom since they have now lost their bottom 3 starters from last year, and it sounds like burroughs might bump up to 157 meaning 149 might be a hole also.

Who are the frontrunners for these empty spots does anyone know?

I don't know the whole story nor do many people outside that room , but i do know AB carries a stiffer sentence than battery -it is also-at least in Indiana a felony -not a misdemeanor .
Huh? A weapon is most definitely not the difference between battery and aggravated battery. It is a mitigating factor, though. The difference yusually comes down to severity. For instance, if I punch you once, that's battery. If I hit you enough times so that your face looks like Heath herrings after the Lesnar fight, that's probably aggravated battery.

He's talking about Jon Burns, a top 5 145 high school senior from North Carolina this past year.

Put himself on the map when he knocked off Mason at the Ironman, and then stayed high for the rest of the year.
