I love Schlatter to death, but if I'm remembering the same situation Metcalf grambied away from a shrug attempt Schlatter didn't put him to his back. No points were awarded, and they weren't even close to being awarded.

I understand being a Minnesota fan, but some of these posts are getting a little over the top and ridiculous.

Very cool post. A few things stick out for me.

I'm wondering if Askren won best funk just because of his last name. Humphrey, Caldwell, and Russell, no question.

I'd say Howe is about equal with Metcalf for most physical. I can't wait to see Howe/Schlatter.

I'd put Caldwell in there as one of the most difficult take down, as well as Esco.

Most intelligent vs. Most athletic is silly ,and usually is race-based. Nickerson is a "smarter" wrestler than Caldwell? Burroughs is more athletic than Gomez?

In my opinion, Perry needs to be dropped down a few notches on the "Freshman who will have the best career" list. He had a great HS career, but he got beat in the Dapper Dan by Fausey. How can you put Perry ahead of Grajales and Kolb? And Fausey, for that matter.

I'm not a Minny-lover, but I'd put DS on the gas tank list. He's a beast when he's healthy.

2-2 going into the third period was all about Metcalf right? he just dominated didn't he? Sounds to me your feelings are hurt are you following me around? Schlatter was hurt wasn't he? Or did he miss abunch of the season so he would have an excuse in case he lost to metcalf? You seem to know everything there is to know about everything so please share your wisdom. The final score was 4-2 and he almost got another slide by in the third period which would have iced it. So come on with your reply we are all waiting

What is so over the top? he didn't make the world team? He wasn't on his back at the 1:17 mark after the slide by takedown? So that video of the match I watched yesterday was doctored up? Is Brent Metcalf your hero?Is that your hero in your profile picture?The score wasn't 2-2 going into the 3rd period with one of metcalfs points being rewarded because of a stall call. You sound like a schoolgirl who has a crush on metcalf And no he got the slide by takedown and metcalf tried to granby roll and got caught.

Agree on all points. I also can't wait for the Howe/Schlatter match(es).

Yeah, JensenS is such an Iowa homer, almost as bad as Goferphan. If they were REAL fans, they'd make sillier predictions for their team.

I do LOVE this place when the Gopher fans get excited about a good team. This year will be a lot of fun!
