In 2007, at the Junior World Championships in Beijing, China, the United States captured four individual medals. The U.S. women’s team tied for fourth in the team standings with three medalists, including World Champion Whitney Conder (Puyallup. Wash./USOEC). The men’s freestyle team placed 11th in the standings, with Bubba Jenkins (Virginia Beach, Va./Penn State) capturing a World Title.

    In case anyone forgot.

During the 2007/2008 wrestling season Bubba Jenkins got pinned byBren Metcalf while on his way to what would have been a TF in the second period because he QUIT. In case anyone forgot.

And you've NEVER been physically overwhelmed nor dominated by your opponent? You've NEVER had your a$$ kicked Herkey? You've NEVER QUIT? You've NEVER been BEAT? If so then I case your name is Dan, Wade or Cael. I find that the person most vocal about a particular "transgression" is usually the one the most guilty of it.

Just because you lose or have your ass kicked doesn't mean you quit. You can keep trying your hardest, but just not have it in you. Lambrecht was beating the shite out of Rohn, but Rohn never broke. Or Lang-Moore, where Lang got ghetto stomped, but he never gave up. Herbert-Askren comes to mind as well...
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

One, two, Evans is coming for you...

I wasn't there so I can't say for myself. BUT One match does not a career make. It might earn a rep amongst Iowa fans but he wrestled @ NCAAs this year he had a major back injury. I can admire that.

I think any PSU wrestling fans are still Bubba fans. If the guy wasn't a competitor he wouldn't have won an International title & Cael wouldn't have renewed his schollie.

Unless you have personally talked to Bubba yourself then you dont really know what happened in that match, your statements are supposition & not fact.

On the flip side, you could be right. Maybe he did give up. I wouldnt demonize someone for that though that is a popular mind set with wrestlers. But the true test is whether someone can get back up & compete again & win again. The verdict is not yet in on this guy.
