Default Christian Sinnott

Did anyone else hear he was at Appalacian State ? It would be a great boost to Austin Trotmann's career , provided he comes back from last years injury .

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University wrestling head coach JohnMark Bentley hired Christian Sinnott as an assistant coach for the upcoming season, announced Bentley Tuesday afternoon.

Sinnott comes to Appalachian from Central Michigan, where he was an volunteer assistant coach for the 2008-09 season. He also served as the strength and conditioning coach for wrestling, football, baseball, gymnastics and field hockey in 2008.

“I’m very excited about adding Christian to our staff here at ASU,” Bentley said. “I believe he will be a tremendous asset to our upper weight classes, and his experience as a competitor and coach will help our program.”

During his career on the mat with the Chippewas, Sinnott was a three-time NCAA qualifier, a two-time Mid-American Conference champion and earned All-American honors as a senior. He ranks in the top-15 in school history in career winning percentage and helped lead Central Michigan to back-to-back top-10 national finishes in his junior and senior years.

Release: 07/01/2009

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University wrestling coach JohnMark Bentley rounded out his coaching staff for the 2009-10 season, bringing in Kyle Jahn, Bentley announced Wednesday.

Jahn wrapped up his first season as an assistant coach at McKendree University after completing a stellar career on the mat.

Good pickup, surprised to see Sinnot leave CMU and his brother but then again there are only so many coaching positions available.

This will be huge for Troutman, who is 100% healthy and looked good @ Universities. Almost beat Yohn from Minny.

Trotmann had wins over the Lehigh kid-Caruso- and the Ohio kid and was ahead before getting hurt and giving up the winning TD to Nebraska -Kearney .If he is at 100% he could make it to the podium this year .
