Imagine its a combination of the ISU administration recognizing blood being thicker than water in Cyler's case, and the fact that Clark wants to go to Iowa in Clark's.

I guess. Kinda lame for Clark, but it's cool that they aren't making Cyler pay for Cael leaving them high and dry.

Bubba was planning on red shirting this upcoming season anyway, he just wasn't healthy at all last year. Cyler is in his senior season, and the window was there for him to finish up under his brother.

Bubba may be using this as an excuse to get out of Dodge with the new Sheriff in town. Who knows what the situation is in Happy Valley with the program right now. It'll be interesting to see what the roster looks like in a few months.

I think Clark is getting the short end of the stick just because his bother doesn't coach at the school he wants to transfer to. Cyler should have to play by the same rules as everyone else. It would help Iowa this year if Clark could wrestle but I'm not even upset that he cant. I just think they should make Cyler sit a year too. Why should he get special treatment just because his brother is Cael Sanderson? I know life isnt fair and it shouldnt be but Iowa State said they werent going to give full releases to kids that want to transfer to Penn St or Iowa and now they are making exceptions.

Clark isn't getting the short end of the stick - Jackson gave him exactly the release he said he would. Cyler is just getting a better deal, not because his brother is Cael, but because it is his brother. You said it yourself, if Clark's brother/father/uncle/whatever was the head coach at some other university, he'd get released to there regardless of what was said before.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Lame towards Clark, good towards Cyler.

yeah, he's getting released without condition because Cael is his brother. Clark wouldnt get a full release if he wanted to go to Penn St because Cael is his former coach. They are makeing an exception to their own rule because of who Cylers brother is. It doesnt seem like the right thing to do, to me. IMO he should be sitting a year too just like everyone else that wants to transfer. Or maybe he should stay at Iowa State.

Some schools don't take Senior transfers. Not sure how that all works but, Cyler could be losing some credits when he transfers.

Interesting indeed. VT didn't issue releases to any of their guys but Iowa State has. I guess it's a case by case basis but for sure is that releases are not just standard.
    Lets go Brent!
