    Default Help Cal State Fullerton

    From Coach Hicks:

    Surviving the budget crisis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got the word that wrestling will not be eliminated at Cal State Fullerton if we come through on the $80,000 we had pledged this year to raise. This money would equal what they would have gained had they eliminated us now. Our team camp, donations from local associations and tournaments are planned to help raise the money. Please be involved at what ever level you can.

Send Checks to Cal State Fullerton Wrestling, P.O. Box 6810, Fullerton, Ca 92834

We can then continue our plan to fully fund the program through camp, tournaments and individual donors.

Please get the word out and thank you all for your continued support.

    Dan Hicks
RIP Jacob Schlottke; KR1963 and rpayton

TWT will match our community donations up to $1,500.00.

If you donate, post how much and when it was sent in. At the end of the contribution cycle we will match those funds out of the Gillette & Red Roof Inn advertising campaigns.

It would be rather pathetic if someone we can't get $1500 between all the posters on this forum. I will send $100 tomorrow.

Yeah, $1,500 should be pretty solid. We will pull the TWT donation campaign for the server until we reach the $1,500 for CSF.

Nutrisystem has extended a 50% pay increase (pretty impressive) to help us reach our advertising goal, too, so they are now a part of the solution.

Thank you so much for all of your support...we truly appreciate it. Both Coach Hicks and I are putting forward all the money we would make off the camp to help our program. The profit off of 52 teams at $1400 per team is a lot...together we can make Fullerton not only survive but become a top 10 team,

Alright, I just put my $100 in the mail. With all of us here, it would add up pretty quick if people just gave $25 or $50, which I think most of us can afford, even despite the crappy economy.

Random, Risto, I wrestled you in college, you did some weird turn in or granby from the bottom that was super frustrating.

You guys should set up a website with online donations... it would make it much easier. I'd be willing to help on that... and I think Schlottke set up one for ASU, so between the two of us we could probably get something going. I know that I personally donate to causes right away if I can pay by internet... since I never have postage stamps laying around my house!

Or at least start a paypal account and let me know what email address it's registered to and I can send a donation. Thanks!

Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.
