I've been conversing with Coach Hicks via e-mail this morning. He is currently recovering from knee replacement surgery. He is open to the idea of a donation website or getting online donations going.

LOL, I asked Coach Hicks if he wanted me to get in touch with you about doing wrestling411 and he said he already did an interview this morning.

WOW - seems a LOT of the people who post here are "all talk" and no action. At least when it comes to donating money (out of their own pocket) to help fund a Division I wrestling program. |

Bronco, I didn't see the big line of donors at themat. Looks like we have 600 plus a 600 match from Schlottke so far.

I've donated to several programs and causes this year. Most recently to Carson-Newman. Next paycheck, something's going to Fullerton. I know first-hand how tough it is to fundraise with wrestling people. Been trying to encourage donations all year on Wrestling 411 with the vision of getting a college wrestling show on television. You'd be amazed at the outpouring of support (implied sarcasm). Blame the economy all you want, but if every fan at the NCAA Division I championships would have donated $10, our efforts would be funded. Now, think about that for a second. If every fan at the NCAA Division I championships were to donate $20 (just once), that's approximately $360,000. Imagine if that was done yearly the "pull" we could have in saving programs and getting more exposure.

Dart is talking about making donations to Wrestling 411. Which is also in need of donations to be able to run. As for Fullerton I hope the amount of money is raised, I am glad they are trying to be proactive in getting this done.
