I bet Macc ends up at ASU. He was signed before HS nationals, which kinda showed the level that he's really at (think he was 2-2 and got beat bad at least once). I don't think Cael will be dying to give him $ to go to Penn State. I wrestled with him some last year, and he is super athletic, him seems to think he knows everything already. I hope he comes around though and has a good college career.

In this SI.com article from a couple years ago, Taylor lists Penn State as a possible school of choice even before Cael got there. Not lookin good for tOSU fans..

We'd still recruit David for Iowa State. He is a very good young man. He would have quite a room to work with there also.

I think it boils down to what his plans are:

    1. Does he want to redshirt his first year or not?

    2. If he does not want to redshirt, what school can he slip into their lineup right away.

    3. Where would that opening be at in the schools lineup?

    4. Which coaching staffing can help him achieve his goals best? (4 NCAA championships)

Any comments on what school he would be able to fit into best....

I believe David does want to redshirt. If he didn't, where he could slip into the lineup right away would depend largely on how much he grows. I remember an interview on flo where he said he wanted to redshirt and then wrestle 165 or 174. I don't know if he actually has that much growth left in him, but his saying that makes weight projection pretty tough.

But suppose he didn't want to redshirt. Ohio State would probably be the worst option for him because they have great talent at 141, 149, and 157 in Humphrey, Palmer, and Nemec, respectively. I'm not saying he couldn't crack the lineup, but it would be very tough and a waste of talent. Penn State is probably a good fit for him to start as a true frosh. I imagine he could slide in at any of those 3 classes with relative ease--especially with Jenkins redshirting.

I don't think we will ever see him at 133.

I'm almost positive he said he WILL redshirt his first year, and that he will go to a place where he can redshirt.
