Kind of a testament to how well he utilizes his wrestling amidst the other two aspects of the MMA game.

Dude doesn't have the credentials of a Kos, a Randy, a Hendo, a Hughes or whoever else but he gets it done.

I followed his career pretty closely since I am from the same area and I don't think it was injuries. It was more of an Indiana kid that thought they could wrestle in the Big 10 after placing 3rd at state. He is one of many Indiana kids that overestimate their wrestling ability when coming out of high school. Most don't make it past a year, but I give him credit for making it all 4(5) years.

He was captain his senior year and earned a Guy Mackey Award. The Guy Mackey Award is a scholarship awarded annually to three student athletes looking to continue their education.
