I posted above I did not think Kinser deserved back points - but it is RARE once the points are on the scoreboard for them to come off -I agree that Kurt didn't get backs but the ref's did seemingly award them -then to have the Scoreboard changed is a major event and happens rarely -happens all the time for an individual match but usually once the points are on the scoreboard for the dual they stay there -I really wanted IU to lose .

Everhart went from 205 to 230 and he sure didn't get fat .Plus they don't take the point off the scoreboard IU wins -Cameron showed alot of heart not getting stuck but he also showed he needs to work on learning how to break legs -not literally but he got turned with the same move 5 times -hopefully you see why I am now a CMU fan -if Kelly wrestles one minute like he did the last 20 seconds he wins -but the kid has done the same thing forever -he is a smart kid but ....plus 2 more seconds in the first match and Angel wins .
I refuse to get sucked into false hope again .IU will get worse as the season progresses .

Re: Penn State 17 Indiana 17 (Final)

It appears the move up was planned so I don't think he failed to make 57 again but I agree on him eventually catching on to how to wrestle at this weight.

Vallimont's very methodical style will probably contribute to him having a few tough goes at the new weight, but he's a very tough wrestler and he'll be there come the end of the year.

Vallimont definitely seemed to have some adjustment issues in his first match up at 165, but Young wrestled very well.

He stayed after it for around 45 seconds to pick the winning TD.
I'm sure he tried to get down to 157 and didn't make it. It'll take him a few weeks to get accommodated to 165. No different than whe Hahn moved up to 197 his last year. A few really crappy bouts before he regained his strength for the new weight. Valimont will be okay come Feb.

Powless is the true 184 and could easily make 74 -just a tough kid -Young hopefully got a little respect tonight -cameron usually explodes off bottom-first time I ever saw him just get wailed on like that .

Everhart wins 5-2.

Dual ends in a 17-17 tie. Had it gone to criteria Decker's 5 point victory would have given the match to Penn State.

Re: Penn State v. Indiana Discussion/Results

Jack Decker tech falls Eric Cameron 16-0 with five three point near falls and then adding riding time. All five near falls came from the same move, stuck his legs in and then cross faced Cameron over.

In watching him at National Duals and here, Jack Decker isn't the best wrestler in the world but to his credit he wrestles HARD. Thats a big win for his team.

He did the same thing when he rode Yohn hard en route to a victory to give Penn State a temporary lead against Minnesota.

17-10 Penn State.

Perry gets a TD in OT to beat Wright 3-1 on the first shot he took the entire match.

12-10 Penn State with 3 matches to go.
