AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State wrestling team finished sixth nationally in average attendance in 2012-13, good for its 12th consecutive season in the nation’s top-10.
Home dual attendance began officially being recorded in 2001-02. Since, ISU has finished in the top-10 every year finishing no lower than sixth. In that span, the Cyclones have recorded four top-two finishes and six top-five finishes.
In 2012-13, Iowa State came in slotted just behind Minnesota, with an average of 2,455 fans at each of its five home duals. The season best attendance came at the Beauty and the Beast event, where 7,732 fans packed Hilton Coliseum to watch the wrestling team take on UNI and the gymnastics team face off against Oklahoma.
