COLUMBUS, Ohio - After securing his first All-America honor with a quarterfinal win at 165 pounds, senior Colt Sponseller of the Ohio State wrestling team lost, 14-6, to No. 1 seed Jordan Burroughs of Nebraska in the semifinals of the 2011 NCAA Championships Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

Sponseller now will compete for a third-place finish Saturday morning. The Buckeye from Glenmont, Ohio, will face the winner of the Paul Gillespie (Hofstra) and Shane Onufer (Wyoming) match.

Redshirt-freshman Nick Heflin was eliminated from his first-career NCAA championships following a 9-2 loss to No. 8 seed Mike Letts of Maryland. A native of Massillon, Ohio, Heflin finishes the season 23-9.
