Ames, Iowa - The Nebraska wrestling team qualified three wrestlers for the finals of the Big 12 Championships Saturday afternoon, as David Klingsheim (125), Jordan Burroughs (165) and Josh Ihnen (184) will all battle for conference supremacy tonight at 7 p.m. in Ames, Iowa. As a team, the Huskers currently sit in fourth-place with 40.5 points.

Klingsheim and Burroughs will each battle a wrestler from Oklahoma in the finals, as Klingsheim will take on No. 2 Jarrod Patterson (OU) and Burroughs will battle No. 2 Tyler Caldwell (OU). Ihnen will take on No. 1 Chris Perry (OSU) in his final match.

Entering the tournament as the No. 4 seed, Klingsheim was most impressive with his victory over No. 5 Brandon Jones (ISU) and upset*of No. 1-seed Jon Morrison (OSU). After battling Morrison to a 4-4 tie through the first three periods in the semifinals, Klingsheim scored a takedown with :05 remaining in the match to vault himself into the finals.

Burroughs recorded his 30th win of the season in the semifinal round after he defeated No. 4 Chris Spangler by major decision, 16-8. The two-time All-American is looking to become the school's second three-time Big 12 Champion.

After a slow start which saw him trail Erich Schmidke (OU) by one point entering the third period, Ihnen used a dominant third period where he scored five straight points to take match. Ihnen is looking for his first Big 12 Championship after a third-place finish last year.

Junior Tucker Lane picked up his third consecutive third-place finish after defeating Kyle Simonson (ISU) by medical forfeit in the consolation final. After an opening round loss to No. 3 Nathan Fernandez (OU), Lane defeated No. 4 Blake Rosholt (OSU)*and Simonson in his final two matches.

Collecting fourth-place finishes for NU was Ridge Kiley (133), Mike Koehnlein (141) and Andy Johnson (197). Kiley was able to punch his ticket to the NCAA tournament by defeating No. 5 Ben Cash (ISU) in the fourth-place challenge match by major decision, 9-0, after dropping two tough one-point matches to open the tournament. Koehnlein and Johnson also earned their way to the NCAA Championships with their fourth-place finishes.

The finals will kick off tonight at 7 p.m. from the Hilton Coliseum. The matches will be streamed live on FoxSportsMidwest.com, along with Big12Sports.com.
