Big 12 Wrestling Seedings Announced

AMES, Iowa ? The seedings are out for Saturday?s Big 12 Wrestling Championships and reigning-champion Oklahoma State will compete with six No. 1 seeds and a No. 2 seed in its lineup.

OSU?s top seeds are 125-pounder Jon Morrison, 133-pounder Jordan Oliver, 149-pounder Jamal Parks, 157-pounder Neil Erisman, 184-pounder Chris Perry and 197-pounder Clayton Foster. The Cowboys? lone No. 2 seed is 174-pounder Mike Benefiel.

Rounding out the OSU lineup are No. 5-seeded 141-pounder Josh Kindig, fifth-seeded 165-pounder Dallas Bailey, and fourth-seeded 285-pounder Blake Rosholt.

*The Cowboys are hunting their 10th Big 12 team title in 15 tries. OSU has won 43 team conference titles all-time, dating back to its days in the Southwest Conference, the Missouri Valley Conference and the Big Eight Conference.

First-round matches at the Big 12 Championships begin at 10 a.m., with the semifinals, consolation matches and potential challenge matches immediately following. The finals begin at 7 p.m.
