Daniel Kolodzik scored a major decision for his 20th victory of the season.

A first-period pin by senior Travis Erdman and a major decision for junior Daniel Kolodzik were Princeton's lone highlights in a 37-10 wrestling loss at No. 20 Penn Sunday afternoon in The Palesta.

Coming off its wild 12-point comeback in Saturday's home win over Brown, Princeton was hoping to continue the momentum with some early-match victories. Instead, it was Penn that won the featured match of the day, as No. 19 Mark Rappo defeated Princeton's 17th-ranked Garrett Frey at 125. Rappo scored takedowns in both the first and second periods and led 5-1 after a third-period escape, but Frey battled back with a late takedown. He was unable to turn Rappo and took his first Ivy loss of the season.

Penn's talented crop of lowerweights built the lead to 15-0, but Kolodzik hit a milestone at 157. He was in control throughout his match against Brad Wukie and ended with a 15-4 major decision. Kolodzik went 2-1 on the weekend, with his lone loss coming in a 2-0 decision to Harvard's Walter Peppelman, the eighth-ranked wrestler in the country. The win was his 20th of the season and gave the Tigers a pair of 20-win wrestlers this season (Frey).

A pin and a forfeit put the team match out of reach for the Quakers, who will battle Cornell for the Ivy League title next weekend, but Princeton did get another important individual win. Erdman, whose pin against Brown keyed the late-match comeback, aided his seeding possibilities at the EIWA Championships with a first-period pin of Erich Smith at 184. Erdman scored a quick takedown and turned Smith over for his second pin in less than 24 hours.

Penn finished with a major decision and a pin to end the day with a 37-10 victory.
