Click here to purchase Oregon State and Pac-10 wrestling tickets

To all Oregon State and wrestling fans in the Pacific Northwest,

It?s been a day since we had the fortune of performing in front of more than 3,200 fans at Gill Coliseum against Boise State. I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone in attendance for providing an incredible atmosphere, one that we have taken a great deal of pride in building toward.

The announced crowd of 3,243 is an astonishing number as we continue to move Oregon State back into wrestling dominance. Gill has not seen a single-day attendance like that in more than 20 years, and I?d like to thank our administration, namely Athletic Director Bob De Carolis, for giving us the chance to continue the Endowment Meet, which is going to ensure the long-term future of this program. With the Pacific-10 Conference suffering the loss of UC Davis after last season, and Oregon the year before, it has become increasingly important that we do everything we can to give future wrestlers the chance to compete and an opportunity to get a first-class education.

We?ll be hosting the Pac-10 Championships on Feb. 27 in what has now become a virtual one-day super event. We want to make Gill someplace where visiting fans and student-athletes will never forget their experiences. This will be a chance to show the rest of the league that we have some of the best wrestling fans in the nation. If you haven?t purchased your tickets, do so now. Not only will you help support our wrestlers and provide a great atmosphere, you?ll get to see some of the best wrestlers in the nation. Who knows, you might get a chance to see a couple future national champions. And of course, cheer on our wrestlers as we go for our second consecutive Pac-10 Championship.

We didn?t defeat Boise State on Sunday, but rest assured, when we see the Broncos in February, at Gill, in our house, we?ll be ready for them. In the meantime, we?ll be back home in a couple weeks with Cal State Fullerton and Arizona State visiting Corvallis. Let?s keep the momentum going. Let?s get Gill rocking and help our wrestlers end the season on a roll.

I look forward to seeing you there and Go Beavs!
