Single Leg

  • Wrist chop - As opponent reaches (either tired or poor position) chop the wrist defending the leg you are attacking.
  • Wrist pull - While circling with your opponent, pull hard on the wrist defending the leg you are attacking? When they react you release their wrist (pulling hand in, close to their side). Begin shooting immediately when you release their hand.
  • Elbow pop - When your opponent reaches with their arm that is supposed to defend their lead leg pop the elbow .
  • Elbow pull - When you are in a collar tie, pull the elbow of the arm protecting the leg you are attacking over your shoulder.
  • Head smash - First off- don?t wind up. What you want to do is put pressure on the opponent?s head/neck like you are trying to force their head down? your goal is to get them to react to this by pulling up. It may require a series of light-medium ?smashes? to get the reaction before they open their body up to attack.

Finishes: Tree Top, Foot Sweep (front, back), Whip back
Notes: Make your opponent go to the mat first, and then follow him. Focus your attention on keeping the leg secure. Don?t rush.

High Crotch

  • Elbow pull - When you are in a collar tie, pull the elbow of the arm protecting the leg you are attacking over your shoulder.
  • Head smash - First off- don?t wind up. What you want to do is put pressure on the opponent?s head/neck like you are trying to force their head down? your goal is to get them to react to this by pulling up. It may require a series of light-medium ?smashes? to get the reaction before they open their body up to attack.

Finishes: Switch to a double, Crack Back
Notes: Finish quickly. Don?t stop underneath to change directions or you will get flattened out and lose the shot. Know where you are going to finish before you take the shot.

Double Leg

  • Wrist chop - As opponent reaches (either tired or poor position) chop the wrists. You may not get both perfectly so make sure double is powerful.
  • Elbow pop - When your opponent reaches with both arms (generally later in a match as they get tired) pop up both elbows and shoot.

Finishes: Blast (head to chest, just keep running), Standard (change directions quickly.)
Notes: Never stop moving your feet when you have control of their legs.
