Default Brett Favre

Lets hear your thoughts.

I find myself wanting to be in the camp that thinks his "flip-flop on retiring" is a bit obnoxious. I think I'm wrong here though.

The guy wants to play football. I mean, he really likes to play the game. He was still a top tier QB last year. Sure.....the guy lives and dies by heroic plays and stupid interceptions....but he's still a really good quarterback who took his team to the NFC Championship game last year.

So....being that he is capable to perform at the highest level still....he belongs in the league if he wants to play.

That being said, he still went back on his word. The Packers made a decision to move forward with Aaron Rodgers. They agreed to Favre's return on the condition that he would be a back up. The Packers fulfilled their obligation. Dumb strategy if you want to win, but they're off the hook.

They could however release Favre. He drastically increased the value of the Packers franchise, and if he wants to mark up his legacy, let him do it.

Thoughts?
