Default Re: Is It Them Or Him?

After watching McClellan on NBC's Today show, it seems that the media has te book all wrong. McClellan said that there were things in the White House he didn't like, but he didn't say that anyone lied with malice -- they didn't lie on purpose. McClellan sais that the point of the book was exposing the continuous campaign culture of Washington, not exposing abything about the Bush Administration.

Viera, who was interviewing McClellan, kept asking leading questions and tryign to say that Bush totally lied about Iraq, WMDs, etc. McClellan said that Bush didn't intentionally mislead anyone and that his administration was much more truthful than Clinton's (which Viera cringed at). At one point, McClellan told Viera that she was missing the point of the book -- the book was about the campaign culture in Washington, not an indictment of the president.

It seems as though the media has taken a couple of pages worth of the book and claimed that the entire book is that way, instead of understanding that the majority of teh book is NOT about the Bush White House, but is about the campaign culture of Washington.

If you're interested in the truth and not what some people say it is on a whim, like matclone very often claims, then you would reject nearly everything the media has said about the book. Its author certainly has. The liberal spin the media has put on this book is certainly unconscionable.
