If that is truly what he said...I read that as his uncle was part of an American force which liberated the concentration camp.
I'm sure he will issue a clarifying statement and that will be the end of it. This is nothing compared to the sniper fire incident because that is on video!

The article claims that there are two problems with this statement:
1)"Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet Army"
2)"and Obama’s American mother was an only child."
But in the Obama quote he never claims that his uncle liberated Auschwitz or that the uncle in question was his mother's brother.
The article also finishes with a quote from an outraged RNC spokesperson (who's job it is to get outraged and try to make a mountain out of a mole-hill) but doesn't have a counter from anyone at the DNC. Doesn't seem fair or balanced to me. |
