I hope D. Schlatter is healthy next year. I am a hawk fan, but I can respect great wrestlers. DS is a great wrestler. I have to disagree with you when you say
Metcalf was trying to tear up Schlatters knee or he was a little chippy. You wrestle until you hear the whistle period. I have seen many guys taken down on the edge of the mat cuz they weren't wrestilng until they heard the whistle. I watched the Big 10 match in person and several times on tv afterwards.
Metcalf controlled the tempo of the match. To me it looked like Schlatter was gassed most of the match.
Metcalf was just trying to push Shclatter who was backing up. I look forward to seeing the two healthy wrestlers going head to head next year, and I hope DS is ready next year.
