To me, he seemed to be the most "normal" of ANY of the candidates from either side. He was truly the "regular guy," the "regular Joe" who was runing for president. He was really down-to-earth had a totally no-nonsense approach. He was the ONLY candidate who didn't use the classic obfuscatory Washington-speak -- he told you in no uncertain terms what he was about.

He also was plain spoken about his faith and gave numerous examples from his times as a governor how he didn't try to force his beliefs on others. I thought that made him cool. I thought more people would have voted for him early on because he was the most articulate and plain spoken candidate. While others stuttered on nearly every debate question, Huckabee breezed right trough without incident.

Some people get nervous aboutthe preacher thing because they think it is PC to say that are nervous about it. But, its only an issue if we make it one. Why should we use Huckabee's religion as an issue if we are told we shouldn't use Obama's preacher and religion as an issue?
