Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here and it's been covered in the other threads, but I just read the article about Gable's comments on ASU's program getting cut.

I can't help but think that Title IX played a fairly minimal role in this program getting cut. Why? Because of other programs that I've known that have been cut, they could not be reinstated even if supporters could financially keep the program alive. In the case of ASU, they clearly said that if outside sources fund it, it can stay.

So, Title IX must not be playing much of a role in this, correct?
