Default Re: What Bush should have said in Israel

Funding Hitler? Please tell. More recently, we get more oil from Mexico and Canada than from the Saudis (by far). What are you talking about?

I did not verify the authenticity of the quote below, however, I kind of like it to be honest. And believe me, I am not happy with the GW, however, I can't fault this statement. I wonder who the senator was? And does anybody think the little heroin addict from Germany would have listened to the 'powerful' U.S. senator as he was in the implementation stage of the 'final solution'?

Instead he blew hot air again:

“Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” Mr. Bush said. “We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: “Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.” We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.”
