You can add in threats to regulate political speech on the radio. And not just "shout downs" but speech codes and other politically correct motivated rules on behavior. How so? I'm a member of the ACLU and if we hear of this we'll take up the case. How are they doing this?
Its the so-called Fairness Doctrine that regulates and tells broadcasters how and who they can put on their shows and the ACLU thinks its a wonderfull idea. I should also mention their resistance to fully compensate landowners after telling them how they can and cant utilize their own land. Who is "they?" The government, who hasn't been fully compensating people for land since long before Gingrich brought in the current wave of political division and partisanship? Is "they" GW Bush, who wanted to increase imminent domain during the early days of his "presidency?" Who is "they?"
It is environmentalists who fought tooth and nail against requiring the government to compensate landowners after some EcoNut bureaucrat deemed his property wetlands or in any other way limited the full maximization of its economic potential. And their love for regulation of political speech during campaigns.
