The first one, his rendition of Billy Joel's "And So It Goes" was good. Cooks first song was very not good, his second one was ok, but his third was pretty good, a cool little take on Aerosmith's overplayed "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing". |
I'll have to disagree just a little. David Cook's rendition of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" rocked. Simon picked a make or break song for him and he aced it. By far the best performance all night with all the pitch changes and his own originality with the mixing. I like him more as a rocker, but he did a great job on this tough number. I think he'll win the whole thing based on that performance alone. Tough for a guy to sing Roberta Flack but he nailed it.
