If Bowlsby is looking at an Iowa guy the list would be fairly short. I think Mena may be considered. (I'm not saying he will get the job). Just get considered. He has been an assistant coach for 8 years. | Good...no, I don't think he's a good coach. As I said, look at what he has done with the guys at 133 and 141 recently. He hasn't taken those second tier kids to the NCAAs, which if he was a good coach he would do that.
I don't think Mena would take a small school job. He seems like the type that would think coaching at a small school(DII or DIII) was an insult.
If Bowlsby is looking for an Iowa guy, the list is pretty short, but he hasn't said he is looking for an Iowa guy. I have confidence that he will bring in a good coach whether he is from Iowa or not.
