How about this theory: Hillary is doing this in a disguised ploy to ensure the VP position. The longer she stays out there, the longer Obama has to wait to name a VP. If Hillary stays out there, Obama, as a matter of practicality, may be forced to take the highly visible Clinton as nobody else would really bring anything to the table.
